Troubadours is a 75 minute vocal class for youth ages 12 to 18 years old. This 10 part class, led by instructor, Wendy Buzby and accompanist, Gloria Juan will focus on the art of musical storytelling. Singers will develop their unique vocal instrument and expression, build skills for singing in harmony, experiment with vocal improvisation and further hone their stage craft. Singers will have the opportunity to share their voices on the December 6th showcase, with the possibility of other community collaborations. Meet the Instructor: Ms. Buzby is a holistic voice coach who helps singers of all ages uncover their authentic voice. She has a history in operatic performance, a Bachelor’s and Masters in Opera and Vocal Performance and has loved singing at the Aloha Theatre as Cogsworth in “Beauty and the Beast”, Tanya in “Mamma Mia” and assisting with vocal support and musical direction in youth and adult shows and programs. You may know Wendy from her involvement with Innovations Public Charter school as a classroom music teacher as well as with their Musical Theatre FAME program, as well as through the Kona Choral Society as the past director of the Youth Choruses, and her private voice studio. Ms. Buzby is delighted to be in community with you all and this unfolding of the Troubadours!!!
